Contract Framing - Choosing pictures for a hotel
We are grateful to the Royal Victoria Hotel in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex for allowing us to use their rooms to create this virtual display
The Board Room - Two abstract prints give a modern look to this Victorian setting to reflect the 21st Century atmosphere of a Board Room. These pictures are complemented by a traditional engraving of an 1830's design for the proposed Royal Exchange in London. This solidarity denotes a well-established company.
A Reception Room - A fine marinescape, 'Trafalgar' by the famous marine artist Steven Dews, has plenty of detail and interest which can be studied at leisure whilst having coffee or drinks. The lighter, restful 'White Rose with Larkspur' by Georgia O'Keefe is a relaxing contrast.
A Bedroom - Diego Rivera's 'The Flower Seller' has been chosen for its strong image and optimistic colours, which are complemented by the choice of mount and frame. 'Scarlet Dancer' by Bill Brauer, elegant and slightly erotic, helps set the scene.
